Назначение системы

A full-scale Process Control System (PCS), comprising an Automatic Boiler Control System (BCS), an interlock and protection system, and a system for technical heat metering. The PCS provides informational support for operational personnel, specialists, and management; performs automatic control of boiler unit equipment; and allows for the setting of automatic mode parameters. The system is an evolution of previously implemented automatic control systems on the same software and hardware platforms used for other boiler units at the plant.

The project aims to create a unified automated control system for water supply and wastewater facilities. This system will provide real-time data acquisition, processing, and visualization. It will enable accurate water flow metering, monitor the status of process equipment, and prevent unauthorized access to sites.

Внедрение новой системы также включало ряд других целей:

Increased facility reliability and safety via modern automation;
Providing remote equipment control;
Establishing a robust communication link between facilities via various channels;
Optimization of equipment performance and reduction of operating costs;
Integration with external analytics platforms for in-depth data analysis and enhanced planning & decision-making.

Решение

By late 2015, the system managed over 200 water and wastewater facilities, including wells, water intake nodes, pumping stations, treatment plants, and utility infrastructure across the city and New Moscow regions.

Data is transmitted to central control rooms and local operator workstations. Most facilities operate autonomously without on-site personnel.

Communication uses GSM for remote sites, ZigBee/Ethernet for local facilities, and VPN tunnels for connecting control centers to city infrastructure.

The system integrates programmable controllers from ICPDAS, OWEN, and Siemens, along with flow meters, electric drives, and heat meters from various manufacturers.

Key components include:

  • Chemical analysis devices
  • Local control systems
  • Standard Modbus RTU/TCP interfaces
  • Custom protocol drivers for non-standard equipment

Controllers are managed via MasterSCADA, Modbus Universal MasterOPC, and other server software.

MasterSCADA was selected after pilot testing multiple SCADA systems due to its reliability, extensive integration capabilities, and strong technical support.

Data transmission to third-party analytical systems.

  • Over 200 I/O devices
  • More than 5,000 tags
  • Over 600 alarm signals
  • More than 150 trends
  • 7 local clients and 2 web clients

Operators, engineers, and maintenance teams have real-time access to comprehensive information about:

  • Water supply status
  • Wastewater intake and treatment
  • Emergency situations across all facilities
